100% Mulberry Silk Pyjamas

Our products are made from 100% ORGANIC mulberry silk, certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (No. 21.HCN.67919) exclusively of Grade 6A, the highest quality level for silk.

Our pillowcases are made from 22 momme, a premium, durable, and comfortable weight.
Our accessories and pajamas are made from 19 momme, perfectly suited for daily use.

Momme weight measures the density of the weave. The higher it is, the thicker and more resistant the silk.

At 19 momme, the silk is light and supple, perfect for accessories worn on the body (scrunchies, sleep masks) as well as for pajamas, where maximum fluidity against the skin is desired.
At 22 momme, the weave is denser: the pillowcase better withstands repeated nocturnal friction, retains its luster longer, and offers significantly superior durability.

All our pillowcases are woven at 22 momme.

Satin is not a material, it is a type of weave.
Historically used for silk, it gives it its characteristic smooth, shiny and slippery appearance.
The textile industry has popularized polyester satins, hence the frequent confusion.
At La Maison du Satin, we only use authentic satin woven from Grade 6A mulberry silk, without polyester or synthetics.

Yes, this is one of its most documented benefits. Unlike cotton, mulberry silk does not absorb sebum or the skin's natural moisture and does not retain bacteria.
Its ultra-smooth surface generates up to 43 times less friction than a cotton pillowcase, reducing mechanical irritation that exacerbates blemishes and redness.

Naturally hypoallergenic and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, it is particularly recommended for sensitive, reactive, and acne-prone skin.

A Grade 6A mulberry silk pillowcase, properly maintained, lasts 3 to 5 years with daily use, far longer than a classic cotton pillowcase.

Silk also has a rare particularity: it improves wash after wash. The fibers gradually soften, making the touch even smoother and the feel against the skin even more pleasant over time. This is a proven fact, unique to quality natural silk.

The Grade 6A silk we select comes from the longest fibers, which gives it naturally superior resistance to lower grades often sold as premium.

A slight dye bleed is possible during the first two washes, which is normal for any dyed natural silk.
Our dyes are OEKO-TEX® certified, formulated to preserve color intensity over time.

To protect your colors: wash separately the first few times, in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30°C), without fabric softener. After 2 to 3 washes, the colors stabilize and remain vibrant.

Wash by hand or on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C, gentle spin.
Use a delicate detergent for silk or fragile textiles, without fabric softener: fabric softener degrades silk fibers.
Natural tip: replace fabric softener with a tablespoon of white vinegar. It softens fibers, revives shine, and is respectful of both silk and the environment.
Air dry, away from direct sunlight.
Avoid tumble drying and high-temperature ironing.

For France and Belgium: 2 to 3 working days.
For the rest of Europe: 3 to 7 working days.
